Red avadavat

The red avadavat, red munia or strawberry finch (Amandava amandava) is a sparrow-sized bird of the Estrildidae family. It is found in the open fields and grasslands of tropical Asia and is popular as a cage bird due to the colourful plumage of the males in their breeding season. It breeds in the Indian Subcontinent in the monsoon season. The species name of amandava and the common name of avadavat are derived from the city of Ahmedabad in Gujarat, India, from where these birds were exported into the pet trade in former times.

उड़न गिलहरी, (Flying squirrel) जो कि वैज्ञानिक भाषा में (Pteromyini) या (Petauristini) कहलाये जाते हैं ! कुतरने वाले जीव के परिवार के जंतु हैं जिनकी विश्व भर में ४४ जातियाँ हैं जिनमें १२ जातियाँ भारत में पाई जाती हैं।वनों में तो इनका जीवनकाल लगभग ६ वर्ष का होता है।परभक्षियों की वजह से शावकों की मृत्यु दर काफ़ी ऊँची होती है। प्राय: यह प्राणी निशाचर होता है।इस प्राणी के आगे और पीछे के पैरों के बीच खाल की एक झिल्ली होती है। यह एक पेड़ से दूसरे पेड़ में जाने के लिए अपने पैर फैलाकर कूद जाते हैं और उड़ने वाले पशु-पक्षियों की तरह दूर तक चले जाते हैं, लेकिन यह अपने पैर फैलाकर ग्लाइड करते हैं, उड़ते नहीं हैं।

"Gidhava" a village of birds. Bemetra is part of the district of Chhattisgarh. There are several ways to reach the village. Bilaspur-Raipur instance of the road and hit the Chandrakhuri Gidhava can reach the village. Mungeli from Bilaspur and birds can reach the village! There are two large reservoir in the village pond. Thousands of migratory birds Tadat-immigrant speaks the reality is another. Since birds birds of villagers have significant feelings of hunters is not on the side stand. Among the different species of birds in the village reservoir're variance rare bird that is dried in the heat, which is almost the birds have to move elsewhere.
                     For quite some time, "Gidhava" is in the spotlight! Given the variety of birds rule Tadat a "Bird Sanctuary" is sent to the Government. Given the favorable conditions of the area has to offer perhaps the c.g. government.

गिधवा [ एक गाँव पक्षियों का ]

"गिधवा"... पक्षियों का एक गाँव। छत्तीसगढ़ के बेमेतरा जिले का हिस्सा है। गाँव तक पहुँचने के कई रास्ते हैं। मसलन बिलासपुर-रायपुर मुख्यमार्ग से जाने वाले चंद्रखुरी से ग्राम मारो होकर गिधवा पहुँच सकते हैं। बिलासपुर से मुंगेली होकर भी पक्षियों के इस गाँव तक पहुंचा जा सकता है  ! इस गाँव में तालाब और दो बड़े जलाशय हैं। प्रवासी-अप्रवासी पक्षियों की हजारों की तादात एक और भी हकीकत बयां करती है। गाँव के लोग पक्षियों से खासा स्नेह रखते है लिहाजा पक्षियों का शिकार करने वालों का रुख इस ओर नही होता। गाँव के जिस जलाशय में पक्षियों की विभिन्न प्रजातियों के अलावा दुर्लभ पक्षी विचरण कर रहें हैं वो गर्मी में करीब-करीब सूख जाता है जिसके चलते पक्षियों को कहीं और का रुख करना पड़ता है। 

                    पिछले कुछ समय से 'गिधवा' सुर्ख़ियों में है ! पक्षियों की तादात और प्रकार को देखते हुए शासन ने इसे 'बर्ड सेंचुरी' बनाने का प्रस्ताव भारत सरकार को भेजा है। पूरे इलाके की अनुकूल परिस्थितियों को देखते हुए ही शायद सरकार ने प्रस्ताव बनाया है। 

Indian roller [नीलकंठ]

                                     नीलकंठ (कोरेशियस बेन्गालेन्सिस), जिसे इंडियन रोलर बर्ड या ब्लू जे कहते थे, एक भारतीय पक्षी है। यह उष्णकटिबन्धीय दक्षिणी एशिया में ईराक से थाइलैंड तक पाया जाता है। तस्वीर/ ग्राम भरनी [बिलासपुर-अमरकंटक मार्ग] के समीप से !
